Wow, I can’t believe it’s been nearly a month since my last
post. When I first started this blog four years ago I made it a point to post writing
related articles every other day. And I did for years. Just goes to show how
quickly time passes when you’re involved in a project.
What project you may ask?
As I wrote in my last post I have been working feverishly
re-writing my three book middle grade sci/fi series. I wrote the original books
nearly fifteen years ago. This series is what landed me my NY agent and a slew
of close call sales and heavy interest by major publishers. But I must say that
fifteen years of writing experience since then has sharpened my skills and
storytelling abilities.
Now, the series is tight, exciting, addictive, and exotic.
Though each book in the series is a stand-alone story all three books are
interrelated and have some surprising, jaw-dropping cross-references. I am very
proud of what the series has become and very excited to re-release it upon the
world. I have an intense marketing strategy planned.
Each book will be available separately and I am also
producing a three-book series bundle. The books will be $0.99 and the bundle
will be $1.79. Here’s the kicker. I am going to offer SILENT INVASION, the
first book in the series for free when the series first comes out. This free
promotion is going to be heavily marketed. I believe readers will love the book
so much that they will purchase the others in the series perhaps sparking the
need for a fourth book or even a fifth to be written. All this should happen by
the beginning of April.
My latest release, AS IT IS IN HEAVEN has enjoyed modest
sales and will hopefully gain new life when my promotional blitz for that one
starts in May. My other release this year, THE END TIME is slowly gaining
momentum despite almost no promotion or marketing on my part whatsoever.
Readers really seem to enjoy the story and are asking when book #2 of the
series will be released. Soon, I tell them… soon.
So you can understand now the reason why I have somewhat
neglected this blog for the last few weeks. It’s not that I don’t love posting the
writing life to my readership it’s that I’ve just been so darn busy.
